winning magazine writer and editor, Karen Wojcik Berner has two novels, A Whisper to a Scream and Until My Soul Gets it Right, both part of
a planned series, with each focusing on one or two members of a book club.

Description:
Two members
of the bibliophiles book club prepare for Christmas: one her first time alone
for Christmas, while the other deals with family issues that threaten to put a
damper on her holiday cheer.
Appraisal:
At turns
funny, frustrating (at least for the characters), and touching, A Bibliophile Christmas is a fun read
that will be appreciated by fans of Berner’s series or anyone looking to get
into the holiday spirit. Chances are you’ll recognize situations you’ve
experienced yourself.
FYI:
Since this
short story has characters from Ms. Berner’s The Bibliophiles series, those who
have read either or both of the books in the series will “know” them better,
which is a positive for understanding their back-story and perhaps to draw the
reader into the story more quickly. However, the small amount of needed
back-story is included, so this story can stand on its own, and could function
as an introduction to the characters and Ms. Berner’s writing before deciding
to give one of the novels a try.
